Pelvic inlet: *Usually round in shape & all the diameters are longer than that of male.
Pelvic cavity: * Shorter and more cylindrical (wide & roomy). * Symphysis and pubic body are short. *Puboischial index is more than 90º. * Anterior segment of chilotic line is longer than the posterior segment.
Pelvic outlet: *Much larger * Subpubic angle is 80º-85º. *Ischiopubic rami are thinner and slightly everted. * Coccyx is more vertical
Sacrum:
Greater sciatic notch is wider (about 74º).
Sacroiliac joint permits rotatory movement during pregnancy.
